Tucked away in the heart of Historic Gilman Village in downtown Issaquah you will find Flat Iron Grill. It is owner Sean Quinn’s not-so-traditional take on a steak & seafood grill with the addition of some South American twists.
The cozy bar features a large collection of American Whiskies, great local beers on tap and highly rated bottle beers from all over the United States and Europe. The wine list is priced to allow the guest to be able to enjoy a great bottle during their dining experience for not the price of any other restaurant – anywhere.
With no busy, noisy streets or parking lots Flat Iron Grill’s large deck is the ultimate destination to enjoy the sunny days with friends and family. Another amenity is the private dining room that can accommodate up to 26 for anything from business, holiday or rehearsal dinners to meetings and even sporting events on the rooms’ private television.
With more than 37 years in the restaurant business, Sean Quinn is committed to providing quality, affordable restaurant dining, close to home.
Years ago, Sean cooked and ate his way through Argentina and felt he had to bring the flavors back with him. He helped create Asado – an Argentine steakhouse. Yep. He’s the guy who brought “that flat iron steak thing” to Seattle.
Deciding he wanted to have a restaurant closer to home, he opened The Flat Iron Grill.
Never one to sit idle, he expanded next door with The Black Duck Cask and Bottle House and later The Iron Duck Public House in North Bend. Now the proud owner of three successful restaurants, he enjoys keeping the quality high and creating the kind of menu you want to tell your friends about.
Sean always wants his food to take center stage and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back over and over again. We hope you agree.

This place is wonderful! so healthy and fresh. the steak salad is out of this world. I had the quinoa salad yesterday, I would go back just for that.
Highly recommend this place for happy hour! Or any other time for that matter. Very good food and excellent service!
The food is fresh and exceptional. Great spices and flavors. I got the Apple Fritter Bread Pounding for dessert and I have to say it is one of the best desserts I have ever had. Unique, flavorful, and not too sweet. The wine list was extensive and provides a great selection at good prices.
Yum! Went here for my birthday (thank you, honey) and cannot wait to go back. Food was FANTASTIC!
Holy cow! This is definitely the place to be in Issaquah!
Most importantly - the food! Delicious! We'll be back for sure - there were several other items on the menu that I wanted to try!
What better way to start spring with lunch on the back patio in the middle of the Village.
I'm so happy that Issaquah has a quality restaurant. The food, desserts, service and ambience are sublime.
The soups are to die for; I dream about them at night. And the sandwiches are so good that there is never anything left on the plate.
This is a D O N 'T M I S S restaurant on the east side.
One statement sums up my visit... I can't wait to go back.
Besides the fabulous and unusual dishes, the servers were friendly and informative and the chef is obviously creative and passionate about his food.
